Plus Fitness Hits The Ground Running With Three New Clubs Across Two States

Following months of forced closure as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic, we are now seeing gyms reopening across the country.

Despite various State based restrictions, Australian owned 24 hour gym franchise group, Plus Fitness, has reopened in all States and Territories with only Victoria remaining, which is set to open Monday 22nd June.

Amidst the challenges that the small business sector has faced over this period and specifically the Fitness Industry, Plus Fitness has not allowed this to slow its growth in the market.

Following gyms being permitted to reopen in NSW on the 13th June, something Plus Fitness played a major role in, the group has opened two brand new gyms in the State, with a third scheduled for Victoria next week, 24th June.

These new gyms are in Edmondson Park NSW, Ambarvale NSW and Clyde North VIC.

When asked about the reopening of gyms and what Plus Fitness plans were for the future, Franchisors and Co-Owners, John Fuller and Nigel Miller had this to say;

John Fuller: “We have used the time we have been closed to focus on improving many things within our business, as well as ensuring we come out of the current climate stronger than ever.”

“As well as having two new clubs open in the first week of restriction easing in NSW, we are also opening a third new club in Victoria next week”.

“In addition, we currently have a further 42 franchise territories sold of which 18 have a secured property and are in the various stages of fit-out and establishment”.

“Whereas there is no mistaking that the recent events placed a great deal of strain on the Fitness Industry, we cannot allow this to slow our efforts in maintaining our previous and sustained growth”.

Nigel Miller added; “The Fitness Industry remains buoyant and we are seeing it bounce back stronger than ever as we work our way out of the remaining restrictions placed on us across the country”.

“The entire Fitness Industry plays a critical role in ensuring the health and wellbeing, both physical and mental, of our local community and this cannot be ignored”.

“We have seen an overwhelming level of support from our members during this time and especially now as they return to the gym”.

“We have also seen new member acquisition up 11% on this time last year indicating the value our communities place on their health and wellbeing at this time”.

All three new Plus Fitness gyms have drawn a great deal of local attention and excitement with Plus Fitness Ambarvale, NSW attracting over 125 members in a little over a week prior to opening.
